Whiplash Matchbox 2013 Purple 1:64

The Matchbox Whiplash diecast model in 1:64 scale stands out with its purple body, featuring subtle glossy highlights against the deep colour. The transparent greenish windscreen opens up the cockpit, revealing darkened interior details and subtle dashboard paintwork. The metal-and-plastic base, marked MB898, Made in Thailand and 2013, provides a solid foundation that emphasises its authenticity. Stylised air intakes and body lines are visible on the bonnet, while the large decorative wheels with a plastic layer give the whole model a substantial appearance. The model has an open cockpit and visible signs of use, adding realism. The whole piece reflects the style of classic diecast models from the early 2010s, with attention to detail and a contrast between the glossy finish and the plastic-and-metal base. This diecast model is an interesting addition to a model car collection and will appeal to enthusiasts of roadsters and the Matchbox 1:64 series.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
