This Matchbox diecast model represents a small racing car from the Superfast series, produced in England in 1973. The model is approximately 73 mm long and was made from a combination of metal and plastic. The body is finished in metallic red paint, which contrasts effectively with the silver chassis and gold details. A characteristic design feature is the exposed engine positioned behind the driver's cockpit, together with the clearly defined rear spoiler. The body carries racing number 8, emphasising the vehicle's sporting character. The wide Superfast wheels give the model a dynamic appearance and are an important styling element of this issue. The model, marked with catalogue number No 24, retains the typical proportions and simplified yet recognisable details found on vintage miniature racing cars.
