SUPER G.T. #28 Matchbox 1985 Orange 1:64

Featuring a metal body and plastic base, this diecast model has orange paintwork with blue and red details and black windows. A large number 28 is shown on the bonnet, while additional colour accents are present on the roof; the details form a characteristic racing livery. The wheels are movable, allowing for short skids and easy positioning on a collector's shelf. The underside bears the manufacturer's markings: MATCHBOX 1985 BR 15/16 MADE IN CHINA; there are no opening parts. The metal body gives the model weight and durability, while the plastic base contributes to the flexibility of the wheel suspension. Small paint chips and some clouding of the windows are visible across the model, confirming its authenticity and state of preservation. The black windows complete the model, contrasting with the bright paintwork and giving the diecast model a distinctive visual character. This model reflects the atmosphere of the 1980s, when Matchbox produced numerous racing versions in the same line, with number 28 becoming a recognisable decorative element.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
