Studebaker Dinky Toys '50 Red 1:36 Made in England

Studebaker diecast model made from zamak, produced in England by Dinky Toys, featuring a two-tone red and cream paint scheme with clearly defined chrome details. The body and chassis were cast as a single piece, while the chrome bumpers are integrated into the bodywork. The underside bears identification stampings and the inscription DINKY TOYS STUDERBAKER MADE IN ENGLAND Meccano. The model is approximately 120 mm long, corresponding to a scale close to 1:36; the tyres are rubber and fitted on metal axles. It has no moving parts or opening doors. The colour scheme is an intense red with cream elements on the roof and side strips; the paint shows signs of use and has worn away in places, while the chassis has minor signs of corrosion. The whole model captures the character of the 1950s: a massive, solid construction, precise stampings and a stylish appearance appreciated by collectors of period diecast models.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
