SCHOOL BUS / SCHOOL DISTRICT 2 Matchbox 1985 Yellow 1:120

This Matchbox diecast model is a school bus with a die-cast zinc body and plastic chassis. The model is approximately 87 mm long, corresponding to a scale of 1:120. The body is predominantly yellow with black side stripes and a silver grille; it has clear windows, while the underside features SCHOOL BUS and SCHOOL DISTRICT 2 tampo prints. The construction clearly has no moving or opening parts; the wheels are complete and original, which adds to its authenticity. The used condition shows numerous rub marks and paint chips along the edges, highlighting the character of this collectible example. The overall construction, combining a metal body and plastic chassis, reflects the typical character of the Matchbox series from the mid-1980s. Detailed paint features, such as the silver grille and contrasting black stripes, create a distinct visual effect, while the tampo prints emphasise the model's authenticity. Despite its used condition, this diecast model is a valuable addition to a collection for enthusiasts of school buses and classic Matchbox 1:120 sets.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
