Model A Ford Superfast Matchbox 1978 Blue 1:46 Made in Macau

Diecast model inspired by the Ford Model A in milk delivery van form. The metal diecast body combined with a plastic chassis gives the model a solid, stable shape and a noticeable weight. The body is painted in an intense blue, while the roof is yellow, creating a distinctive contrast with the black wings and chrome details on the trim, handles and bumpers. Stickers and advertising details are visible on the sides, emphasising the vehicle's delivery function. The wheels follow the Superfast line – straightforward, without a flexible rotating effect, giving the vehicle a sporty character. There is slight paint loss and localised rubbing, giving the model an authentic patina and showing its age. The base is embossed with the inscription MATCHBOX Superfast Model A Ford Made in Macau 1978, confirming its origin and production period. The model measures approximately 90 mm in length and features a classic design with exposed mechanical details characteristic of the Superfast series from the 1970s.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
