Mod Rod Superfast Matchbox 1971 Yellow 1:64

Visual and technical description. The diecast model has a yellow metal body with red windows, a black chassis and silver wheels. The vehicle represents a typical off-road pickup in the Baja style; the red glazed windows are made of plastic, while the open load bed highlights the model's functionality. The wheels have five-spoke hubcaps, and the 1:64 scale emphasises its compact character. Cast-in markings can be seen on the underside, typical of the Matchbox Superfast line; details such as the low noses, air intakes and sharp side edges capture the spirit of the era. This 1971 model, with a metal body and plastic chassis, combines durability with the distinctive design of the Superfast series. Although simple in construction, the diecast model captures the precise character of a 1970s icon, when manufacturers focused on dynamic proportions and recognisable body details. The dominant yellow colour, contrasted with the red windows, creates a striking silhouette that catches the eye in any collection and displays well on a shelf.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
