Airport Fire Engine Fire Service Lone Star '50 1:50 Made in England

The diecast model is a detailed metal casting depicting an airport fire engine. The model is made from die-cast metal, with a red body, black wheels and visible friction-drive components. The lack of glazing and the open windows make the interior and mechanical details visible. The model is 164.0 mm long, suggesting a scale of approximately 1:50; real vehicles from the 1950s were around eight metres long. Roller-shutter equipment compartments are visible on the sides, while the rear features a water cannon and an exposed hose reel. The friction drive, characteristic of older toys, emphasises the sturdy and functional nature of the design. The whole model is finished in matt red with black details and no window glazing, enhancing the raw, collectible character of the reproduction. The model captures the atmosphere of the 1950s, combining a simple aesthetic with attention to details such as the fittings on the side panels and the small pieces of equipment visible on the side rails. The diecast model is an attractive addition for collectors of friction-drive models and enthusiasts of metal castings.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
