Ford G.T. Superfast Matchbox Red 1:64 Made in England

This diecast model is part of the Matchbox Superfast line, made entirely of metal with plastic details. The Ford G.T. model, finished in red metallic paint with a clear windscreen and silver wheels, measures approximately 66 mm in length. The base bears the embossed markings MATCHBOX SERIES No41 FORD G.T. MADE IN ENGLAND LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD and the SUPERFAST logo. The surface condition is characterised by numerous chips and areas of worn paint, a deformed plastic windscreen, damaged wheel arch edges, worn axles and minor traces of corrosion on the chassis. The chassis is metal, with clearly defined embossing and silver wheels. The colour is red with a metallic sheen, the windscreen is clear, and details such as the door recesses, body lines and rear spoiler are subtly accentuated by age and use. The model comes from the Superfast series and was made in England, with catalogue number 41. The year of production is not stated in the set, while this example has a distinctive appearance among classic diecast models from the era.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
