FORD EXPLORER FIRE CHIEF, Matchbox 2012, Die cast E80, White, 1:66

This Matchbox diecast model is an off-road vehicle with a metal body and plastic chassis, featuring a rugged character and realistic details. The colour scheme, based on a white body with red wheel arches, blue elements on the roof, and a black chassis and running boards, creates a contrast that emphasises the vehicle's role in rescue operations. Yellow and blue shades on the roof-mounted equipment, a plastic front bumper/bullbar, and a roof rack and accessories in blue complete the design. Imitations of the chassis and exhaust can be seen underneath, while the treaded tyres and raised wheel arches add authenticity to off-road configurations. Stickers bearing the FIRE CHIEF lettering and side markings complete the overall appearance, while the tinted windows enhance the realistic effect. The model is in used condition, with visible minor scuffs or paint loss on the edges and stickers; the estimated scale is approximately 1:66, and the length is approximately 77 mm. Thanks to its metal body and plastic chassis, the diecast model has a solid appearance in themed collections and dioramas featuring rescue vehicles.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
