Donald Duck Buggy Matchbox 1979 Orange 1:55

This diecast model shows Donald in a four-wheeled go-kart. The chassis is a die-cast metal part with embossed WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS, MADE IN HONG KONG and LESNEY 1979 markings. The moving wheels are made of plastic and allow the model to roll freely across surfaces. Orange is the dominant colour, complemented by blue, white, yellow and black details and decorations. The total body length is approximately 121 mm, making the model compact and suitable for a casual collection. Unfortunately, there is considerable rubbing and paint loss on the figure and body, which affects the appearance but adds character to an example from that decade. The model represents a licensed diecast model from the late 1970s and is an interesting example of the use of licensing in miniature vehicles.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
