CORVETTE STINGRAY Hot Wheels 1979 Blue 1:64

The diecast model represents a classic sports coupé in 1:64 scale, made entirely from die-cast metal with plastic parts. The base is chromed and marked HOT WHEELS MATTEL INC 1979 CHINA. The body is blue with a light blue stripe and numerous chrome details. The gold-coloured spoke wheels give it character, while the paintwork is two-tone: dark blue on top and a lighter blue on the sides. There are no moving parts; the model has no opening doors or bonnet. Scuffs and paint loss are visible around the edges, confirming that this is a model from 1979, made in China. The height and length correspond to the standards of 1:64 scale, with a length of approximately 70 mm. Overall, it presents as a raw, iconic example of a diecast model that captures the spirit and styling of its era.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
