CONCEPT BEETLE CONVERTIBLE Matchbox 1999 Light Blue 1:64

The Matchbox Concept Beetle Convertible in light blue paintwork is a detailed model with a black plastic base, Matchbox and 1999 Mattel Inc markings, and the word Thailand. A transparent, yellowish windscreen outlines the cabin, where the white seats have been reproduced with attention to the shape and texture of the upholstery. Wheels with white inserts contrast with the coloured paintwork, while delicate shades of blue combine with black chassis details. The model has no opening or movable parts; minor scuffs and signs of paint wear are visible, adding authenticity to the diecast model. The overall effect emphasises the conceptual character of the vehicle and the combination of metal and plastic materials characteristic of the Matchbox Mainline versions from the late 1990s.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
