Citroën 11BL Dinky Toys '50 Grey 1:43 Made in France

This metal diecast model produced by Dinky Toys represents a Citroën 11BL in grey with yellow rims. The body is made of Zamac, giving it a massive, solid structure and a characteristic metallic sheen. The overall length is approximately 108 mm, and the proportions reflect the vehicle's classic short-bodied design. The underside bears the stamped inscriptions DINKY-TOYS CITROËN 11BL FABRIQUE EN FRANCE PAR MECCANO, confirming the model's origin and age. The model is fitted with moulded rubber tyres with yellow rims, which contrast with the grey body and emphasise its period character. The lack of windows contributes to its raw, mechanical appearance, while the axles and screw fittings are visible. The paintwork shows substantial loss of the original finish and corrosion, which is typical of examples from this period and adds authenticity. The underside features detailed manufacturer inscriptions, while the whole model reflects the spirit of the 1950s, when metal models were an important part of collectors' displays. For enthusiasts of model collecting and motoring history, this diecast model is an interesting piece that combines aesthetic value with technical precision of manufacture.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
