Remco 1988 Red Tractor Unit 1:43

Visual and technical description: This diecast model is a tractor unit with a metal body and plastic chassis. It is finished entirely in red, with a white roof and blue-green stripes, plus a sticker bearing the Remco logo. The long, elegant body features poster-style lettering reading REMCO TOYS INC NEW YORK N.Y. 10010 MADE IN CHINA. The chrome-plated vertical exhaust on the right-hand side adds a touch of shine, while the copper-coloured wheel axle highlights its retro construction. The moving wheels allow realistic positioning and interaction with other models in the collection. The chassis is made of plastic and has the embossed inscription REMCO TOYS INC. Visible imperfections include paint chips, dried-on dirt and partially worn stickers. Scratches and light pitting can be seen on the sides, emphasising the character of a loose example from the late 1980s. This diecast model fits into the Mainline model category, valued for its simple finish and reliable materials, making it appealing to collectors seeking the authenticity of the period.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
