CHEVROLET IMPALA Matchbox '50 Blue 1:72 Made in England

The diecast model represents a Chevrolet Impala as a small metal casting (zamak). The model has a classic, simple saloon shape with a flat roofline and a low silhouette. The base is stamped CHEVROLET IMPALA MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY, confirming the set's origin and age. The main colour is blue; silver accents appear on the roof and bonnet, while the wheels have whitewall tyres. The plastic window is dark and the base is metal. Fragments of the original paint remain, but significant signs of use are visible: paint loss, light axle corrosion and slight deformation of the edges. There are no visible opening features. Everything indicates a model from the 1950s, in 1:72 scale, made in England by Lesney, making it an interesting example of early collectible Matchbox diecast models.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
