SCHOOL BUS Matchbox 1985 Yellow 1:120

Visual and technical description: the School Bus Matchbox diecast model is made of die-cast metal with plastic elements, giving it a characteristic solid shape and precise joins. The body is bright yellow, with black windows and a red grille, while the wheels are large and green, with a subtle tread visible from the side. The underside features clear embossed markings: the MATCHBOX logo and the words SCHOOL BUS, confirming the model's authenticity. Small details can be seen on the body, such as imitation windows and details of the inserted elements, as well as minor paint chips indicating natural wear. The ABC educational stickers and numbers add a playful character and reflect the vehicle's educational function. The model is approximately 87 mm long, which places it within the mainline scale range; the whole model was produced in China in the 1980s, reflecting Matchbox's practices at the time.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
