AUDI QUATTRO, RACING #88, McToy, Die cast, White, 1:55, diecast model

Visual and technical description: diecast model in 1:55 scale, made as a metal casting (zamak) with a plastic chassis and windows. The colour scheme consists of white base paint with black and red details marking the rally routes and the number 88 on the roof. The underside features the embossed markings AUDI QUATTRO, MADE IN MACAU and the manufacturer identification MC TOY; this combination helps to identify the model. Stickers and printed details on the bonnet and around the doors convey the character of a blend of licensing with official Audi Quattro styling. The model was made without moving parts: the doors, bumpers and bonnet are fixed, while the axles are steel with press-fit wheels. The whole is completed by characteristic imitations of a spoiler and protective features. The visual condition reflects intensive collector use: numerous scratches and minor paint losses on the bonnet, roof and wheel arches confirm its age and use. General characteristics: a simple, budget diecast model featuring a licensed Audi Quattro design, produced in Macau at the end of the 20th century; valued by collectors looking for authentic, inexpensive licensed examples from that era.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
