AMBULANCE Midgetoy 1950 Red 1:40 Made in United States

Diecast model ambulance from the 1950s in 1:40 scale, made from die-cast zamak. The model is approximately 112 mm long. The body, painted in bright red lacquer, has numerous areas of wear and silver accents on the edges, highlighting the material's authentic ageing. The roof features a white square with a red Cross, the symbol of the emergency medical service. The chassis is pressed, with the clear marking MIDGETOY ROCKFORD ILL PAT 2775847; the frame and axles are made of metal, and the wheels are plastic. There are no moving parts, such as doors or a bonnet, confirming its character as a loose collectible model. The chassis details, stamping and raised sections create a historic appearance, while the contrast of red and silver emphasises the lines of this classic diecast model. The model fits into the period's collector records, showing the direct style of the 1950s.

Used, collectible diecast model; after restoration it is like new (without a box, unless a box is shown in the photos). We restore models with 3D-printed replacements for missing parts and special paints made for restoring model cars. If the model shows signs of use, it has been intentionally left partly unrestored to keep its individual vintage character. The photos show the actual condition of the model.

The date given in the title or description is not always the date the casting was made. It may refer to the design of the model, the first casting series or the production of the real car. We give the dates the manufacturer states on the base. If in doubt, check all information against the photo of the base of the model.
